SOP, LOR & Interview Preparation

Your Statement of Purpose, recommendation letters and interview performance can make or break an otherwise strong application. We help you turn your genuine story into a compelling, error-free case — without ghostwriting a generic template.

Why this matters

The document that decides borderline cases

Admissions committees read hundreds of applications with near-identical grades and test scores. Your Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letters of Recommendation (LOR) are often what separates an offer from a rejection — and a shaky visa interview can undo months of preparation in minutes.

Most students either copy generic templates (which admissions officers spot instantly) or freeze up trying to write something "impressive." We do neither. We help you articulate your actual story, goals and fit — clearly, honestly, and structured the way admissions committees expect.

  • SOP structured to the specific university & course, not a generic template
  • LOR guidance for your recommenders so their letters are specific and credible
  • Mock visa & university interviews with real feedback
  • Multiple review rounds before you submit anything

What's included

Complete document & interview support

Statement of Purpose

One-on-one brainstorming to surface your real story, then structured drafting and multiple review rounds until it's submission-ready.

Letters of Recommendation

Guidance for your recommenders (professors or employers) so each LOR is specific, credible and aligned with your SOP — not generic praise.

Visa Interview Mocks

Realistic mock interviews with feedback on content, confidence and common red-flag answers to avoid.

University Interview Prep

For programmes that interview applicants directly — MBA, PhD and select scholarships — we run subject-specific mock rounds.

Resume / CV Review

An application-ready CV formatted the way admissions committees and scholarship panels expect to see it.

Final Document Check

A last-pass review of your full application package — SOP, LORs, transcripts, CV — before you hit submit.

How it works

Our SOP & interview prep process

  1. Discovery call — we ask about your background, goals and why this specific course/university, so the SOP is built on your real story.
  2. First draft — structured around what admissions committees actually look for: motivation, fit, and future plans.
  3. Review rounds — we refine language, tighten structure and cut anything generic, across 2–3 rounds.
  4. LOR guidance — a briefing document for your recommenders so their letters are specific and consistent with your SOP.
  5. Interview mocks — once documents are locked, we run mock interviews with real feedback, repeated until you're confident.
  6. Final check — a complete review of your application package before submission.
Common SOP mistakes to avoid
Avoid these

Common SOP & interview mistakes

We see the same avoidable mistakes derail otherwise strong applications, again and again:

  • Generic templates. Admissions officers read thousands of SOPs a year — copied structures and phrases are obvious and hurt credibility.
  • Vague motivation. "I want to study X because it interests me" says nothing. Specific reasons tied to your background stand out.
  • Mismatched LORs. A recommender who barely knows you, or a letter that contradicts your SOP, raises red flags.
  • Memorised interview answers. Visa officers can tell when answers are rehearsed rather than genuine — we coach for authenticity, not scripts.
  • Ignoring the "why this university" question. Committees want to see you've researched their specific programme, not just the country.

SOP & Interview Prep FAQs

Do you write my SOP for me?
No — we help you write it. The story, achievements and voice need to be genuinely yours; admissions committees can tell when an SOP wasn't written by the applicant. We guide the structure, sharpen the language and catch weak spots, but the SOP stays authentically yours.
How many rounds of SOP review are included?
Typically 2–3 review rounds are enough to take a first draft to submission-ready. We keep refining until both you and we are confident it represents you well.
Can you help my recommenders write a stronger LOR?
Yes — we provide your recommenders with a short briefing covering what makes an effective, specific LOR, so their letter is credible and consistent with the rest of your application.
Do you prepare students for visa interviews specifically?
Yes — we run mock visa interviews covering the questions officers commonly ask, with honest feedback on your answers, tone and any red flags to fix before the real interview.
Is SOP and interview prep included in your free counselling, or is it a separate service?
Initial counselling is always free. SOP, LOR and interview preparation are part of our end-to-end admissions support once you decide to work with us — ask your counsellor for exact details based on your chosen destinations.
Which universities require an interview?
Interviews are common for MBA programmes, PhD admissions, medical school and several scholarships. Many undergraduate and standard master's applications don't require one — we'll tell you upfront if your target programme does.
